Flying Disc Ranch as been selling their dates at the PAFM since 2002. The ranch grows dates in southern California, near Thermal. Robert Lower started the business after he traveled to Africa 17 years ago, fell in love with the area – and brought back dates. Flying Disc produces a wide range of date varieties and date products; they grow and sell the large, delicious Medjool dates – which are good eaten plain with pistachios and coffee, make date bars, and also produce a date syrup not often seen in other stores and markets. The dates are grown using biodynamics, an enhanced form of organic farming developed by Rudolf Steiner in the early part of the 20th century.
