Halfway into our 2006 season Larry and Diane Peters, owners of Springhill Jersey Cheese, will be adding ORGANIC to their PAFM banner. The long ordeal of getting certification for the 400 Jersey cows, 500 acres of pasture, barns and the processing plant is almost over.

The twenty-five varieties of FARMSTEAD ARTISAN CHEESES are all homemade. European dry jack, white cheddar, butter and cheese curds are among the favorites. It pleases them to give you introductory tastes of new and old products.

Larry starts every day at 4 a.m. overseeing the entire operation but concentrating on marketing. He enjoys interacting with people. Their neighbor Andy often sells at Palo Alto and his pasture is part of the operation.

Your visit to Springhill is always welcome. October is an especially good time to take the family. The kids get to dig potatoes, milk a cow, choose a pumpkin, and get a treat of homemade ice cream. They are open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
